Using EndpointLock on Xiaomi phones

After EndpointLock has been installed and activated, it can be used on a Xiaomi (MIUI) phone by following these simple instructions:

Enable the EndpointLock keyboard

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on Additional Settings
  3. Tap on Languages & input
  4. Tap on Current Keyboard
  5. Tap on Choose Keyboards
  6. You should see EndpointLock in this list. Enable EndpointLock by turning on the switch next to it in the list.

Switch to the EndpointLock keyboard

  1. Go to any text input field, and tap into it as if your were going to start typing. For example, open a text message or browser search bar.
  2. Pull down your notifications bar and you should see a System notification that says Change Keyboard
  3. Tap on this notification and you should be able to switch to EndpointLock or any other keyboard enabled in your settings.
  4. After choosing EndpointLock, go back to your text input field and you should see EndpointLock as your keyboard.

If you do not see the Change Keyboard notification, it may be because you have blocked these types of notifications. To fix this:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Manage Apps
  2. Tap on the three dots on the top right corner and select Show All Apps
  3. Find and tap on Android System
  4. Tap on Notifications and scroll down to Virtual Keyboard
  5. Enable the notifications for Virtual Keyboard
